Not every delivery role is behind the wheel. Drivers' mates and porters are essential to furniture, home delivery, removals and other two-person operations.
What does a driver's mate do?
Typical work can include loading and unloading, helping navigate or contact customers, carrying items into homes or businesses, protecting products, collecting signatures and supporting safe delivery.
What experience helps?
Manual handling, customer service, removals, furniture delivery, warehouse loading and previous two-person delivery work are all useful. A driving licence can help but is not always required.
